Cooper Flagg revelled in a "fun" preseason bow for the Dallas Mavericks.

The number one draft pick made his debut for Dallas on Monday, in a 106-89 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Flagg finished on 10 points and chipped in with six rebounds and three assists during his 14 minutes on the court.

The 18-year-old's points all came during a three-minute burst in the second quarter, as he shot 3-of-6 overall and sunk two of his three 3-pointers.

"That's a fun brand of basketball to play when the ball's moving around," Flagg said, as quoted by ESPN. "It was fun.

"Just taking whatever the defense gives me.

"Just keep it simple, making the right play, pass or shot, whatever that is."

Flagg also showed what he can do defensively, as he denied Isaiah Joe just 85 seconds in.

"You've got to see the defensive side," said Mavs coach Jason Kidd.

"You've got to see the playmaking and then the scoring. He was really, really good."

The Mavericks play the Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers in preseason before starting their 2025-26 NBA campaign against the San Antonio Spurs on October 22.
