Sparks top scorer Plum out long-term
The Los Angeles Sparks will be without leading scorer Kelsey Plum for at least four weeks due to an injury to the four-time All-Star's lower left leg.
Los Angeles acquired Plum from Las Vegas in a three-team trade in January 2025 after she won back-to-back championships with the Aces in 2022 and 2023.
The top overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft averaged 19.5 points, 5.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 43 games with the Sparks last season and was off to a terrific start this year before getting injured.
Plum, 31, ranks second in the league with 23.9 points per game and sixth with 6.4 assists a contest – both career highs – in 12 appearances for Los Angeles (8-8).
Sparks guard Kelsey Plum is out with a lower left leg injury. The four-time WNBA All-Star will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
