Spurs' Wembanyama to miss at least two weeks
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will be reevaluated in two to three weeks after sustaining a right calf strain, multiple media outlets reported on Monday.
Wembanyama suffered the injury in Friday’s 109-108 loss to the Golden State Warriors but was able to finish the game, totalling 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots.
The third-year center sat out Sunday’s 123-110 win over the Sacramento Kings, and he underwent an MRI that revealed the injury.
San Antonio is scheduled to play 10 games over the next three weeks, with seven of them on the road.

Wembanyama is averaging 26.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and leads the NBA with 3.58 blocks per game this season. The Spurs have been among the most intriguing stories in the league early this season with a 9-4 start.
The No. 1 overall pick in 2023, Wembanyama was limited to 46 games last season due to a blood clot issue.
Luke Kornet started in Wembanyama’s place on Sunday, and Kelly Olynyk saw an increased role off the bench.
The Spurs continue to be without the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft, Dylan Harper, due to a calf injury of his own.
