John Campbell and Shai Hope remained resolute, as they frustrated India and kept West Indies' slender hopes alive in the second Test.

India looked on the verge of storming to another huge victory as they skittled the tourists out for just 248, enforcing the follow-on in Delhi after previously posting a massive 518-5 declared.

West Indies had resumed on 140-4, but swiftly saw Hope (36), Tevin Imlach (21), Justin Greaves (17) and Jomel Warrican (one) fall.

The dismissals of Khary Pierre (23) and Jayden Seales (13) eventually followed, with Kuldeep Yadav taking a five-for, finishing on 5-82.

Mohammed Siraj (1-10) sent Tagenarine Chanderpaul packing for 10 runs in the ninth over of West Indies' second innings, before Alick Athanaze (seven) was bowled out by Washington Sundar (1-44).

Yet Campbell and Hope stubbornly resisted India's charge, clipping their way to 87 not out and 66 not out respectively by stumps.

The pair will take to the crease on day four with the Windies on 173-2, trailing by 97 runs, but with eight wickets to play with.

Data Debrief: Campbell breaks new ground

Campbell's knock has included nine fours and two maximums, and saw him bring up his fourth half-century in the longest format.

This is now Campbell's highest score in a Test, surpassing the 68 he struck against New Zealand previously, and he is just 13 runs away from a maiden century.

Yadav was India's star of the day, as he collected his fifth Test five-for, and his second against the Windies.
