Buttler and Brook star as England close out India T20I series with another big win
Jos Buttler and Harry Brook were in stunning form as England defeated India by 56 runs to close out their T20I series.
The pair put on a 233-run partnership at the Rose Bowl as England sealed a 4-0 series win over the reigning T20 world champions.
India's decision to bowl first seemed to pay off when Prasidh Krishna (1-38) dismissed Phil Salt in the second over, but Buttler and Brook then took centre stage.
Buttler smashed 131 off just 64 balls before being removed by Shivam Dube (2-22), who also got Jacob Bethell out for a golden duck from the next delivery, while Brook made 95 off 45 as England set a target of 258 to win.
India's chase got off to a stuttering start as Jofra Archer sent Abhishek Sharma (3) back to the dressing room, before Sanju Samson (27) also lost his wicket in the powerplay.
Ishan Kishan (56) and Tilak Varma (53) threatened to pull off an unlikely chase, but Adil Rashid (2-24) and Sam Curran (3-36) ensured the hosts would be victorious in Southampton.

England go top of the pile
With this victory, England are now the top-ranked nation in T20Is, displacing a wounded India side.
India have failed to win any of their seven T20I matches since lifting the World Cup earlier this year (L6 NR1), losing series to both England and Ireland; this is their longest winless run in the shortest format.
But credit must be given to England, and especially to Buttler and Brook on this occasion.
The top-order pair recorded England's highest-ever partnership in men's T20Is, while it was the fourth-highest stand overall in the format.
Brendan McCullum's side set their third-highest T20I total, helped by Brook's 19-ball 50 – his fastest half-century in the format.
