Bangladesh clinch historic ODI series win over Australia
Bangladesh have won their first-ever ODI series against Australia after their five-wicket victory on Thursday.
The Tigers now have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, and they did so in emphatic fashion in Mirpur.
Australia's decision to bat first after winning the toss backfired after Taskin Ahmed (3-33) bowled Matthew Short (0) with the fourth delivery of the match, before Mustifizur Rahman (3-27) dismissed both Cooper Connolly and Matt Renshaw for ducks to leave Australia 0-3.
Things did not get much better for the tourists, who were 81-6 in the 22nd over as Bangladesh looked to be cruising towards another famous victory.
However, Marnus Labuschagne (55 not out) and Xavier Bartlett (52) put together a 103-run partnership as Australia were 187-8 after 42 overs, with the rain seeing their batting innings end there.
Bangladesh were given a revised target of 192 and 41 overs to chase it down, but saw Tanzid Hasan (0) caught and bowled by Bartlett (1-23) on the second ball of the first over.
Nevertheless, Soumya Sarkar (42), Najmul Hossain Shanto (41) and Towhid Hridoy (40 not out) all scored 40+ before Mehidy Hasan Miraz (22 not out) got Bangladesh over the line with a massive six, with 36 balls to spare.

Bangladesh on the up
After achieving just their second-ever ODI win over Australia on Tuesday, and their first since 2005, Bangladesh have now won their first ODI series against their opponents, and with a match to spare.
A brilliant bowling display set the tone early on, with Australia just the fourth team in ODI history to be 0-3, after Bangladesh (vs Sri Lanka in 2003) and Pakistan twice (vs South Africa in 1997 and New Zealand in 1983).
The Tigers will now look to take this momentum into their three-match T20I series against Australia, but not after attempting a series sweep in the ODIs.
Australia, meanwhile, have now lost back-to-back ODI series, having lost to Pakistan 2-1 prior to the Bangladesh series.
Their last ODI series win came against India in October (2-1), though that result came after a series defeat to South Africa.
