T20 World Cup: Jansen and Markram lead South Africa to statement victory
Marco Jansen starred with the ball before Aidan Markram dominated in the chase to lead South Africa to a seven-wicket win over New Zealand at the T20 World Cup.
The Black Caps struggled to a below-par total and could not defend it as South Africa made it three wins from three outings at the tournament.
Jansen finished with figures of 4-40 after making a blistering start to the match, as he dismissed Tim Seifert (13), Rachin Ravindra (13) and Finn Allen (31) in the powerplay.
Mark Chapman (48) attempted to steady the ship as he combined with Daryll Mitchell (32) for a 74-run partnership for the Black Caps' fifth wicket, before Jansen stepped in again to stop the former.
James Neesham's unbeaten 23 not out pushed New Zealand to 175-7, but they were no match for the Group D leaders.
Markram was the star of the show with the bat, bringing up his unbeaten 86 off 44 balls, getting his half-century in just 19.
Quinton de Kock (20), Ryan Rickelton (21) and Dewald Brevis (21) also chipped in to keep the Proteas steadily ticking over, but it was David Miller who got the winning six to take South Africa to 188-3 with 17 balls to spare.

Data Debrief: Leading from the front
Jansen set the tone from the very start, taking his first four-wicket haul in T20Is to set South Africa on their way to an easy win.
But Markram's personal best score in the format was the clincher for the Proteas; he brought up the fastest half-century for South Africa in T20 World Cups, and took them to their highest powerplay score at the tournament (83).
South Africa have won all their five T20 World Cup matches against New Zealand, who saw their four-game winning streak at the tournament come to an end on Saturday.
