Kristaps Porzingis is targeting a healthy end to the season after he made his second appearance for the Golden State Warriors.

Porzingis, who joined the Warriors from the Atlanta Hawks last month, played 23 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

He finished with nine points, five rebounds, five assists and one block, though the Warriors lost 104-97.

Porzingis had missed the last six games due to illness.

The Latvian was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), an autonomic condition that can dramatically increase heart rate and cause dizziness and fatigue after he contracted a virus in February 2025.

But the 30-year-old is hoping his health issues are now behind him.

"I believe I will be healthy now," Porzingis said.

"This is what I really feel. Not to sell anything because I've been in and out, out again. But this time, I really feel this is it.

"Sitting out a couple of games was stinging me a little bit. Today was OK. Feeling a little heavy, shot not in a good rhythm yet.

"Only 20 games left or so. I want to catch a really good rhythm and see if we can do anything in the postseason."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr last week suggested Porzingis did not have POTS, but subsequently retracted those comments and apologised for the misunderstanding.

"It wasn't ideal," Porzingis said.

"Because it put something out again. So, people start talking again. I told Steve it was okay, I know he didn't mean anything, didn't want to create hype around my health. He just said what he knew at the moment."

The Warriors are 32-31 for the season and sit eighth in the Western Conference.
