Bangladesh captain Litton Das saluted bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed, after they "changed the game" during their dramatic four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka.

The Tigers grabbed the first win of the Asia Cup Super Fours, successfully chasing down their target of 169 with a ball to spare in Dubai.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field, with Dasun Shanaka's unbeaten 64 boosting Sri Lanka's tally.

Although, the Lions were restricted to just 15 runs in their final two overs, as Taskin and Mustafizur, who recorded figures of 3-20, remained stubborn at the crease.

Saif Hassan (61) and Towhid Hridoy (58), who notched his 1,000th run in T20Is, led Bangladesh's response, while they eventually scrambled home despite losing two wickets in the final over.

"Before the Asia Cup, we played a few series, and we chased down the target, so we knew we had a good batting side," said Das, who hit 23 to surpass Shakib Al Hasan and become his nation's highest run scorer in T20Is.

"Mustafizur and Taskin changed the game with their 19th and 20th overs. It was looking at 190 [for Sri Lanka] at one time."

"It was a terrific game, and we held our nerve, but it wasn't enough," Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka added. "We could have done a little better in the last two overs. We were 10-15 runs short."
