Kuldeep Yadav said it was "special" to "create magic" with a five-for during India's second Test against the West Indies in Delhi.

The Men in Blue are in control of the second Test, albeit their opponents kept their faint hopes alive with resolute displays from John Campbell and Shai Hope towards the end of day three.

Kuldeep, playing his first Test in 18 months, played a starring role earlier in the day, finishing on 5-82 after registering his fifth Test five-for, and his second against the Windies.

And, despite his lengthy absence from this format, the spinner highlighted the need to consistently produce the goods for his nation.

"We started well and planned well," he said. "The first innings was brilliant.

"The wicket's on the slower side. You have to generate energy, which is difficult for a spinner.

"I hardly think about which ball I bowl with these days. I want to give my best in all formats. Taking a five-for was special. I've got to create magic on the field, it doesn't matter if it's after an 18-month gap or a one-month gap."

The Windies will resume day four on 173-2 in their second innings, trailing by 97 runs, but with eight wickets to play with.
