Banton stars to clinch series victory for England over Sri Lanka
Tom Banton plundered an unbeaten half-century to guide England to a six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka, and an unassailable 2-0 lead in their three-match series.
Just like the first match, Sunday's action was heavily affected by the weather, with an hour-long rain delay interrupting England's chase, and DLS set a revised target when play resumed.
Pathum Nissanka (34) and Kamil Mishara (36) had set the tone for Sri Lanka, with the pair hammering 35 off the first two overs.
Jofra Archer (2-42) took out two of the hosts' big scorers, dismissing Nissanka and Pavan Rathnayake (40), but with big totals from Kusal Mendis (32) and Charith Asalanka (28 not out), Sri Lanka reached 189-5.
England's chase started with a stutter, as Phil Salt was dismissed by Matheesha Pathirana (2-47), but the tourists reached 57-2 before their innings was stopped by rain.
A revised target of 168 off 17 overs was set once the rain eased up, and Jos Buttler, on his record-breaking England appearance, got the ball rolling with a rapid 39.
And a stunning Harry Brook cameo, which saw him smash 36 off 12 balls, coupled with Banton's clinical 54, helped England to 173-4 with two balls remaining.

Data Debrief: Buttler marks history-making outing in style
Buttler has now made 402 appearances for England across all formats, more than any other player in history.
He overtakes the 401 amassed by James Anderson across T20Is, ODIs and Tests, and played a big part in this win, with his 29-ball knock including six fours.
England have now won each of their last 10 T20Is against Sri Lanka, the longest winning streak by any team against the Lions in the format.
