Afghanistan seal dominant series sweep against sorry Bangladesh
Afghanistan stormed to a series sweep against Bangladesh, earning a 200-run win in the third ODI in Abu Dhabi.
Bilal Sami (5-33) and Rashid Khan (3-12) ensured Bangladesh were unable to muster much of a fight in the chase, as they failed to hit triple figures.
Afghanistan were quick out of the blocks, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz (42) and Ibrahim Zadran (95) just falling short of a 100-run first-wicket partnership when the former was trapped lbw by Tanvir Islam.
Sediqullah Atal then added 29 before being caught and bowled by Saif Hassan (3-6), who helped dismantle the middle order, as Afghanistan slumped from 173-2 to 221-7 over 10 overs.
However, Mohammad Nabi steadied the innings late on with a stunning unbeaten 62, a knock that included four boundaries and five maximums, helping push Afghanistan to 293-9 despite only Nangeyalia Kharote (10) reaching double figures among the lower order.
Bangladesh initially started well, thanks to Hassan's 43, but he was the only other batter to pass ten.
Rashid Khan ended the resistance in the 19th over, with Mohammad Naim (seven), Najmul Hossain Shanto (three), and Tawhid Hridoy (seven) already dismissed, and Bangladesh's hopes fizzled out along with it.
They managed just 23 more runs after Hassan's dismissal, eventually slumping to 93 all out.

Data Debrief: Afghanistan break new ground
This is the first time Afghanistan have sealed a series sweep over Bangladesh.
They are only the fourth nation that Afghanistan have managed a 3-0 win against, after Ireland (January 2021), the Netherlands (January 2022) and Zimbabwe (June 2022).
It is also the first time they have won four consecutive ODIs against Bangladesh, and were led by Sami, who took his maiden five-wicket haul.
