LeBron James’ record run of NBA All-Star Game starts ended Monday when the league announced the starters for next month’s mid-season showcase that will feature the United States facing the World for the first time.

James was named a starter for every All-Star Game from 2005-25, with those 21 overall selections also being an NBA record.

The Los Angeles Lakers star can still earn a 22nd selection when 14 reserves are picked by the NBA’s head coaches on Sunday or if commissioner Adam Silver needs to choose any replacements for injured players.

James didn’t begin his record 23rd NBA season until November 18 due to right sciatica, and the 41-year-old is averaging 22.6 points, 6.9 assists and 5.9 rebounds in 24 games.

The 10 starters announced Monday included five players from each conference.

Luka Doncic (Lakers), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder), Stephen Curry (Warriors), Nikola Jokic (Nuggets) and Victor Wembanyama (Spurs) were picked from the Western Conference.

The Eastern Conference consists of Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Jaylen Brown (Celtics), Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Cade Cunningham (Pistons) and Tyrese Maxey (76ers).

Doncic, Gilgeous-Alexander, Antetokounmpo, Jokic and Wembanyama are expected to play for the World team.

The first-ever version of U.S. against the World will be a round-robin tournament featuring three, eight-player teams – two squads made up of Americans and one consisting of international players.

There will be 12-minute mini-games to decide which two teams move on to the 12-minute championship game.

The event will be held February 15 at the home of the Los Angeles Clippers.
