Carlos Alcaraz stretched his career-long win streak as he beat lucky loser Arthur Rinderknech in straight sets to reach the semi-finals at Queen's Club.

He has now won his last 16 matches in a row, and withstood the Frenchman's big serve to win 7-5 6-4 in one hour and 22 minutes, a much shorter outing than his mammoth win in over three hours against Jaume Munar on Thursday.

Rinderknech matched Alcaraz blow for blow in the opening stages with little to split them as the Spaniard pulled level at 5-5.

However, the top seed then earned the vital break in the first set, before converting set point on the second attempt in the following game.

Another three-game winning streak in the second set put Alcaraz in control as he cruised into a 4-2 lead before converting his second match point to book his place in the final four.

He will face either Holger Rune or Roberto Bautista Agut in the semis.

Home favourite Jack Draper is also through to the next round after he dug deep to beat Brandon Nakashima 6-4 5-7 6-4 earlier on Friday. He will face Jiri Lehecka for a place in the final.

It is a huge win for the Brit as it means he will climb the rankings from sixth to fourth, overtaking Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz just in time for Wimbledon.

That would mean he would avoid potential matches against Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner until the semi-finals of his home major.

"I've got to get to the semis first [of Wimbledon]," smiled Draper. "But last year I went there ranked 40th, and now I'm fourth.

"To get to that position is an incredible feeling. It is a testament to the work me and my team have done, and I'm proud of that."

Data Debrief: Alcaraz still on top

Alcaraz has impressed of late, and he is looking for a third tournament win in a row, after collecting the trophies in Rome and Paris.

He is now on a 16-match unbeaten streak, extending his longest ever such run, while he has 40 victories overall in 2025.

The world number two did not face a single break point on Friday, and converted the two he forced.
