Kelsey Mitchell helped make up for Caitlin Clark’s absence on Sunday by scoring 27 points, and the Indiana Fever raced to an 84-68 victory over a Las Vegas Aces team that played without four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson.

Aliyah Boston added 18 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks as Indiana (12-8) won its second straight game without Clark, who is rehabilitating a back injury.

Las Vegas (15-6) didn’t have Wilson available for the third game in a row due to a leg injury, including Tuesday’s 93-85 loss to the New York Liberty in the Commissioner’s Cup championship game.

Wilson, Clark, Mitchell and Boston were all named starters this week for the WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago on July 25.

The Fever took a 42-41 lead at half-time on Sunday before blowing the game open, outscoring the Aces 26-14 in the third quarter and holding Las Vegas to 27 points in the second half.

Jackie Young led the way with 15 points for the defending WNBA champion Aces.

Wings cruise past Tempo

Paige Bueckers had 22 points and seven assists to lead Dallas to an 89-76 wire-to-wire win over Toronto.

Top overall draft pick Azzi Fudd made five three-pointers and scored 17, while Jessica Shepard added 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Wings (13-8).

Dallas was ahead by five points at half-time before pushing the lead to 71-59 after the third quarter en route to its fourth win in six games.

The expansion Tempo (9-11) got 19 points, five rebounds and five assists from Marina Mabrey, and Nyara Sabally contributed 14 points, seven boards and five assists.

Toronto has dropped six of its last eight contests.
