Paige Bueckers had 25 points before leaving following a late collision, and the Wings set a Dallas-era franchise record with a sixth straight victory by defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 90-82 on Sunday.

Bueckers added five assists and four rebounds before her day ended with 3:33 left in the game.

The 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year collided with Nneka Ogwumike after the Sparks forward was fouled and fell to the court, causing Bueckers to hit the back of her head on the floor.

Arike Ogunbowale scored 20 for Dallas (17-8) and Jessica Shepard had 11 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.

The Wings are two wins away from tying the franchise record of eight consecutive victories set by the Detroit Shock in 2003 and Tulsa Shock in 2015.

Ogwumike stayed in the game and finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles (10-15), which concluded an 0-4 road trip and lost for the ninth time in 12 contests.

Dream beat Sky at buzzer after Reese injured

Jordin Canada made a driving layup at the buzzer as the Atlanta Dream beat the Chicago Sky 93-91 after losing All-Star Angel Reese to a knee injury.

Reese’s knee gave way on a missed layup with 9:45 left in the game after she shot 3 of 13 from the field and had eight points to go along with five rebounds in 20:16 of action.

She entered Sunday leading the WNBA with 11.8 rebounds per game and 17 double-doubles.

Allisha Gray had 29 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead the Dream (16-10) to their third straight win and fourth in five contests following a five-game losing streak.

Canada had 10 points, nine assists, three boards and three steals, and Rhyne Howard added 11 points, six rebounds, six assists and three blocks for Atlanta.

Azura Stevens had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Sky (9-17), who failed in their bid to win three in a row for the first time since 2023.

Mercury top Sun to end slide

DeWanna Bonner had a season-high 21 points to help the Phoenix Mercury end a five-game losing streak with a 72-63 win over the Connecticut Sun in a matchup of two of the worst teams in the WNBA.

Bonner added six boards to pass current Sun center Brittney Griner as the Mercury’s all-time leader in rebounds.

Kahleah Copper added 18 points, four rebounds and four assists for Phoenix, while Griner led Connecticut with 19 points.

Only the Seattle Storm (6-21) have a worse record than Phoenix (9-18) and Connecticut (7-19).
