United States captain Brandt Snedeker believes his team "never lost faith" after pulling off a comeback win in the Presidents Cup.

Heading into Sunday's singles action 10.5-7.5 down, USA won nine of the 12 singles matches to claim a 17-13 win at Medinah.

Cameron Young, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Chris Gotterup, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele and Jackson Koivun all won their ties before Jacob Bridgeman secured victory for the hosts with a one-up win over Min Woo Lee.

USA have now won 11 successive Presidents Cups, winning every edition since 2005, while the Internationals missed out on a great chance for just their second victory in the competition, and what would have been their first on American soil.

Winning captain Snedeker lauded the resilience of his USA team and gave extra praise to Koivun, who ensured USA would avoid defeat with his singles win.

"I think these guys never lost faith," said Snedeker after the win.

"I know what that team room is like. I told the guys last night that funny stuff happens here. Medinah has a history of funny things happening.

"Sure enough, they went out and played their a**** off today. I'm so damn proud of those guys.

"I cannot get over what Jackson Koivun did today. I put him in a really tough spot out there. We thought he could handle it and sure enough, he did.

"He went out there and looked like the stud we know he's going to be. So damn proud of Jacob Bridgeman getting his first point as a Presidents Cup rookie.

"All these guys fought for each other, fought for this country, fought for this team."

The next Presidents Cup will be held in Melbourne at Kingston Heath Golf Club in 2028, though USA will first focus on the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor next September.
