Rahul comes up hot at the end as India edge out New Zealand in thriller
KL Rahul smashed 14 runs off three balls in the penultimate over to seal a four-wicket victory for India over New Zealand in Sunday's ODI.
There were just six balls left by the time Rahul finally got India over the line with a big slog for a match-winning six.
Rahul had already fired off two boundaries from the previous four deliveries in Vadodara as India clawed their way to a victory that had initially seemed set to come easy.
New Zealand reached 300-8 from their 50 overs, with Devon Conway (56), Henry Nicholls (62) and Daryl Mitchell (84) posting big scores.
Shubman Gill's 56 and Virat Kohli's exquisite 93 from 91 balls put India well on track in their chase, while Shreyas Iyer contributed 49.
However, Kyle Jamieson (4-41) dismissed India's key performers and put New Zealand back in with a chance.
And the match was firmly in the balance when India were left requiring 12 runs from the last 12 balls. Thankfully for the hosts, Rahul (29 not out) was on hand to seal victory and put them ahead in the three-match series.
Acing yet another chase!

Data Debrief: Kohli's cracking form continues
Kohli has now scored at least a half-century in each of his past five ODIs.
In fact, his lowest total in that run came against South Africa last month, when he managed 65 not out.
The former India captain had managed just three scores of 50+ across his previous 12 ODI outings before this hot streak.
