Pakistan sealed a T20I series win over Australia with a 90-run victory in Lahore, giving them an unassailable 2-0 lead.

The tourists were bowled out for just 108 in their pursuit of 199, as Pakistan built up more confidence ahead of next month's T20 World Cup.

Pakistan opted to bat first, but saw Sahibzada Farhan (five) and Saim Ayub (23) dismissed in the powerplay before Babar Azam (two) followed soon after.

Captain Salman Agha (76) and Usman Khan (53) then came to the fore for the hosts, with Shadab Khan’s unbeaten 28 getting them closer to the 200-run mark.

Australia, who have been rocked by the news that Pat Cummins will miss the World Cup due to a back injury, could not find any rhythm in the chase, with only Mitchell Marsh (18) and Cameron Green (35) reaching double figures out of six top-order batters.

Abrar Ahmed (3-14) was at his clinical best with the ball before Usman Tariq (2-16) wrapped up the win with the wicket of Matthew Kuhnemann (two) in the 16th over.

Data Debrief: Misery compiler for Australia

With this win, Pakistan have secured their first T20I series win over Australia since 2018.

Australia have now lost their last four men’s T20Is; it is their longest losing run in the format since losing four in a row between July and August 2021.
