Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott praised his side’s depth after their 108-105 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

The Suns were without key duo Devin Booker and Jalen Green, while Isaiah Livers and Koby Brea also missed out through injury.

Nevertheless, they were led by Mark Williams, who registered 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and a 19-point performance from Collin Gillespie at the Target Center.

After snapping the Timberwolves’ five-game winning streak, the Suns moved to 14-10 for the season, leaving them seventh in the Western Conference.

“We needed all of them,” said Ott.

“Everyone that came in the game contributed and that start of the fourth quarter really helped us.

“It put us in a good spot. We might have even got it to double digits there to start the quarter, and our starters were able to put it away collectively. Everyone that was out there did a heck of a job to grind out a win.”

Dillon Brooks also played a key role for the Suns, scoring 18 points while adding two rebounds and two assists to the stats sheet.

The 29-year-old believes their mentality played an important part in holding off the Timberwolves.

“We're a resilient bunch,” Brooks said after the game.

“We play hard and figure out how to win in clutch moments. Even though we weren't shooting it well, we found ways to make the little ones count. The little plays. We outworked them toward the end.”
