'It's a pretty cool thing' – James break all-time NBA games record
LeBron James says "it's a pretty cool thing" after breaking the all-time record for games played in the NBA during the Los Angeles Lakers' latest win.
James equalled Robert Parish's record last time out, and on Saturday, overtook the Hall of Famer by playing in his 1,612th regular-season game.
And he marked his milestone outing with a win as Luke Kennard made a 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left to send the Lakers to a 105-104 win over the Orlando Magic.
James had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Luka Doncic, who was called for his 16th technical foul resulting in a suspension, scored 33 in the Lakers’ ninth straight win.
"It was a regular prep day. I mean, I kept it, you know, the same as the previous, whatever 1,600, whatever the record is," he said.
"But I knew, you know, once I stepped on the floor and the game began, that I was breaking the record, and that's a pretty cool thing.
"I said it the other night, the best thing you can have for your team-mates is availability. And I try to be available throughout my career, two decades-plus to my guys. And you know that's just a byproduct of it."

James is averaging 21.1 points per game in the NBA this season – his 23rd straight year scoring at least 20 a game.
He is shooting 51.4% from the field this season and has made more than 50% of his shots in 15 of the last 17 years.
"He's had an awesome season; he's had an awesome career," Lakers coach JJ Redick said.
“There's just a deep-seated love for the game of basketball, and to do it as long as he has, you not only need to have the love, but you need to have the love for the commitment to prepare your body and to prepare your mind and to get your rest.
"He loves the process. He really does. He loves his process, he loves his routine, he loves the feeling of being diligent."
