Nuggets F Gordon to miss at least a month
Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon will be sidelined for at least a month after he reinjured his right hamstring last week at Milwaukee.
The team said Thursday before hosting Brooklyn that Gordon will be evaluated again in 4 to 6 weeks. Gordon ranks third on the team with 17.7 points and second with 6.2 rebounds this season.
Denver brought Gordon back on a minutes restriction earlier this month and even played him off the bench for a handful of games. He reaggravated the injury while playing the second night of a back-to-back after logging 33 minutes the previous night.
Gordon missed 19 games from mid-November through early January with a strained hamstring. The injury comes as a bad time for the Nuggets, who also are without star center Nikola Jokic (left knee), forward Cameron Johnson (right knee) and forward Christian Braun (left ankle).
The 30-year-old Gordon was acquired by Denver in a trade with Orlando in March 2021. He was an integral piece when the Nuggets won the 2023 NBA title.
