NBA All-Star DeRozan reportedly cut by Kings, to become free agent
The Sacramento Kings and DeMar DeRozan are parting ways.
The Kings are releasing the six-time NBA All-Star, according to a report by Shams Charania of ESPN, making DeRozan one of the top free agents on the market.
Although he turns 37 years old in August, DeRozan is still considered a viable scoring threat and could help a contender make a championship run.
In 2025-26, the 17-year veteran averaged 18.4 points on 49.7 per cent shooting, as well as 4.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 77 games for a Kings team that finished 22-60. He has played at least 74 games in each of the last five seasons, and last made an All-Star team in 2022-23 for the Chicago Bulls.
