Jadeja guides India to innings victory over West Indies in first Test
Ravindra Jadeja took four wickets as India secured an innings and 140-run victory against West Indies in the first Test.
Following on from their impressive display with the bat, which saw KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel and Jadeja all score tons, India declared on 448-5 ahead of the start of play on day three before bowling the visitors out for 146.
West Indies lost both of their openers inside the first 11 overs as Mohammed Siraj (3-31) removed Tagenarine Chanderpaul (eight), before Jadeja (4-54) sent John Campbell (14) back to the dressing room.
Brandon King (five), Roston Chase (one) and Shai Hope (one) all followed in quick succession to leave West Indies 46-5 in the 21st over.
Alick Athanaze (38) tried to get his side back on track, but his wicket triggered another collapse which saw the Windies fall to 98-8.
Tailenders Johann Layne (14 off 13) and Jayden Seales (22 off 12) looked to salvage some dignity for the visitors, but Kuldeep Yadav (2-23) and Jadeja cleaned them up for a comprehensive win in Ahmedabad.

Data Debrief: Jadeja further cements his place among the greats
After he also scored an unbeaten 104 on day two for India, this marks the fourth occasion in which Jadeja has scored a century and taken at least four wickets in a match.
Only Ian Botham (five) has done so more often, while Garry Sobers and Ravichandran Ashwin have also achieved this feat four times.
Jadeja was also named as Player of the Match, his 11th such award for India in this format; only Sachin Tendulkar (14) has more.
