Heat guard Herro set for season debut
The Southeast Division-leading Miami Heat are expected to get Tyler Herro back in the lineup for the first time since the All-Star guard had ankle surgery in September when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
Herro led Miami in 2024-25 with personal highs of 23.9 points and 5.5 assists per game while also averaging 5.2 rebounds in the first All-Star season of the 2019 first-round pick's career.
He also appeared in a career-high 77 games and won the three-point contest during the league’s All-Star weekend.
Herro finished sixth in the NBA last season with 251 made three-pointers.
The Heat (11-6) have won four in a row and lead the Southeast by one-half game over the Atlanta Hawks (11-7), but current Miami leading scorer Normal Powell (25.4 ppg) will not play against Dallas (5-13) due to a strained left groin.
#DALvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro (ankle) is listed as questionable to play in tonight's game vs the Mavs.
