Rookie Olivia Miles had 28 points, veteran Courtney Williams added 27 and the Minnesota Lynx defeated the Indiana Fever 108-100 on Sunday to extend their winning streak to 10 games.

After Miles registered 23 first-half points, Williams scored 17 in the second half and hit a runner with 32.3 seconds to play to seal Minnesota’s longest win streak since opening 13-0 in 2016.

Napheesa Collier appeared in her fourth game of the season after being sidelined with a left ankle injury and had 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the WNBA-leading Lynx (25-6).

Minnesota overcame a monster performance by Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell, who had a season-high 37 points.

It marked Mitchell’s 14th straight game with at least 20 points, one shy of matching the all-time WNBA single-season record set by Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson.

Caitlin Clark had 19 points and 10 assists and Aliyah Boston chipped in 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Indiana (19-11), which saw its five-game run end despite extending its league record of consecutive contests with at least 100 points to six.

Valkyries blow past short-handed Tempo in second half

The Golden State Valkyries controlled the second half and pulled away for a 96-79 win over an expansion Toronto Tempo team that played without its top two scorers.

Golden State (20-9) came into the matchup with back-to-back defeats that followed a nine-game winning streak and a stretch of 13 victories in 15 contests.

The Valkyries led the short-handed Tempo (10-19) by just one point at half-time before pulling away and outscoring Toronto 52-36 in the second half.

Star reserve Janelle Salaun had 24 points to lead Golden State, Veronica Burton scored 17 and Gabby Williams and Tiffany Hayes added 15 points each.

Toronto was without Marina Mabrey (20.9 points per game) because of a neck issue and Brittney Sykes (20.1 ppg) due to a foot injury.

All five starters scored in double figures, led by Nyara Sabally’s 19 points, as the Tempo got only eight points from their bench.

Toronto has dropped six in a row and 14 of 17 since going two games above .500 for the first time on June 10.

Wings rout Sun to get back on track

The Dallas Wings blew past the lowly Connecticut Sun in the third quarter to come away with an easy 83-63 win.

Dallas (19-11), which entered with three losses in four contests following a six-game winning streak, took an 11-point lead into half-time before outscoring the Sun 24-8 in the third quarter.

The Wings used a balanced attack, with Arike Ogunbowale and Jessica Shepard leading the way with 15 points apiece and Azzi Fudd scoring 12 on four three-pointers.

Ogunbowale added five rebounds and five assists, and Shepard pulled down nine boards.

Dallas used 12 players, with each seeing at least seven minutes of action.

Diamond Miller had a season-best 22 points for Connecticut (7-23), which suffered its fifth straight loss and seventh in nine games.

The Sun played for the fourth straight time without leading scorer Brittney Griner (14.1 points per game) due to a knee injury.

It was Connecticut’s first game since trading third-leading scorer and top rebounder Aneesah Morrow to the expansion Toronto Tempo on Friday.

The seventh overall pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft averaged 11.6 points and 8.9 boards in 20 games for the Sun this season.

Sparks defeat Fire to end slide

Dearica Hamby contributed 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Nneka Ogwumike had a big second half as the Los Angeles Sparks snapped a six-game losing streak with a 106-101 victory over the expansion Portland Fire.

Ogwumike poured in 20 of her 22 points after half-time and also had 10 rebounds in Los Angeles’ first game since trading five-time WNBA All-Star Kelsey Plum to the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday night.

Plum averaged career bests of 23.9 points and 6.4 assists in 12 games this season for the Sparks (11-17).

Portland (11-19) saw Bridget Carlson hit seven three-pointers and score 24 to go with 11 rebounds in its fifth consecutive defeat.

Carla Leite chipped in 21 points and eight assists for the Fire, while Megan DiLeo added 19 points and eight rebounds.
