Duffy clinches another five-for as New Zealand beat West Indies
New Zealand eased to a nine-wicket win over West Indies in the second Test in Wellington, with Jacob Duffy's five-for helping them wrap up victory on day three.
The Black Caps declared with a 73-run advantage before taking a couple of early wickets on day two, leaving them primed to seal an early victory after the first Test was drawn.
They made light work of their task as the Windies collapsed for 128. The first blow came in the morning session as Brandon King was run out for 22 after setting off for a risky single, allowing debutant wicketkeeper Mitchell Hay to capitalise on Michael Bracewell's throw.
Shai Hope (5) followed in the same over, being bowled and caught by Michael Rae, and a review could not save Roston Chase (2) when Duffy got in on the act.
Duffy would also take three of the Windies' final four wickets, including trapping Justin Greaves (25) lbw when home captain Tom Latham opted to review.
The tourists only managed to set a target of 56, one New Zealand faced few issues in reaching as Devon Conway (28 not out) and Kane Williamson (16 not out) took up the mantle after Latham (9) fell early.

Data Debrief: Duffy's dream start continues
Duffy has wasted no time in making an impact since his red-ball debut in August, with this his second five-for in three Tests for New Zealand.
Having only conceded 14 runs for eight wickets in the first Test, he only gave up 11 for six wickets in the second, finishing West Indies' second innings with figures of 5-38.
New Zealand are now off the mark for the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle, while their unbeaten run at home to West Indies stands at 16 Tests, winning 11 and drawing five since last losing to them on home soil in February 1995.
