Bueckers delighted to continue Connecticut winning streak with Wings
Paige Bueckers relished being back in Connecticut as she helped the Dallas Wings to their first WNBA win of the season.
Bueckers scored a career-best 21 points as she led the Wings to a 109-87 win over the winless Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft remained perfect at the arena, where she went 15-0 at the building in college while playing for UConn, including winning four Big East championships with the Huskies.
She shot 8-for-10 from the field and also finished with seven assists and five rebounds.
"I don't think I ever lost here. I was trying to carry that into tonight," Bueckers said after the game.
"It felt great just to play like that as a team, and obviously that environment is special to me.
"But to be able to play like that as a team and put a full 40 minutes together and come out with the win and stay connected throughout the entire game... There's definitely stuff we need to improve and clean up. But to put it together like that, it felt good to be out there."

Dallas are now 1-4 for the season, though are still bottom of the Western Conference.
It is the first time this season that Dallas scored more than 84 points, and head coach Chris Koclanes praised their ability to go back to basics in order to get the best out of the team.
"I just thought everybody contributed, and that's what we're after," he said.
"You know a balance of where everyone's hunting offense and making simple plays, and I thought you saw some of that today."
