Andreeva on course for second title of 2026 after victory over Ruse in Linz
Mirra Andreeva booked her place in the Linz Open final with a straight-sets victory over Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
The first seed needed just 87 minutes to get the job done in Austria as she won 6-4 6-1 against her unseeded counterpart.
Despite breaking in Ruse's first service game, Andreeva lost serve twice early on to find herself behind in the first set.
However, the 18-year-old broke Ruse's serve twice more in the opener, with that enough to put her ahead in the match.
The second set was far more straightforward for Andreeva, who dropped just one game, in which she squandered four break points, before securing her place in Sunday's showpiece.
Through in two!

Data Debrief: Andreeva eyes second trophy of 2026
Andreeva is now into her second WTA Tour final of the year, previously beating Victoria Mboko in the Adelaide showpiece back in January.
The teenager was impressive on serve against Ruse, particularly in the second set, where Andreeva won 67% of her first-serve points and 71% of points on second serve.
Ruse, meanwhile, made six double-faults in the match as her hopes of a first WTA-500 title came to an end.
