Carlos Alcaraz and Serena Williams have received a wildcard for the main draw of the US Open mixed doubles this year.

Both have recovered from their respective injuries to take part in the competition; Alcaraz missed four months of action with a wrist injury, while Williams suffered a knee injury at Wimbledon.

Williams also recently featured in the women's doubles at the Cincinnati Open alongside her sister, Venus, but lost in the first round.

Alcaraz paired up with Emma Raducanu for the revamped tournament at the US Open last year, though the Brit's injury struggles have hampered her 2026 campaign.

Alcaraz and Williams are one of a number of high-profile names in the controversial competition, which changed format to include bigger names from the singles game.

Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic have joined forces this year, as well as Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz, and married couple Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils.

Defending champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori are the only doubles specialist pairing to receive a main-draw wildcard.

The brief tournament will take place from August 24-26, with the singles main draw starting four days later.
