Alcaraz unsure on Roland-Garros participation
Carlos Alcaraz is not certain if he will be fit enough to compete at Roland-Garros.
Alcaraz was usurped as world number one by Jannik Sinner following his defeat to the Italian in the Monte-Carlo Masters final earlier this month.
The Spaniard subsequently sustained a wrist injury during the Barcelona Open, and has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid.
But the seven-time grand slam champion has now cast doubt on his participation at Roland-Garros, where he is the defending title.
"Well, we're going to see," Alcaraz told LA 1.
"At the end of the day, the next test is going to be crucial for us to say, so we’re going to keep trying to do everything that’s in our hands for the test to go well.
"I'm trying to have a lot of patience these days, but we're good. We're here waiting a bit.
"We've got some tests here and going forward in a few days. From there, we'll see how the injury is and the steps to follow. Right now, well, I'm trying to be positive, keep good spirits, although these days are getting long."

Speaking after winning the Laureus World Sportsman award on Monday, Alcaraz said: "I have a long career ahead of me. Forcing [it] for Roland-Garros could penalise me enormously in the future.
"We'll see what the exams show. But I prefer to come back a bit later rather than rush."
The French Open starts towards the end of May and finishes on June 7.
Last year, Alcaraz clawed back three match points in the Roland-Garros final en route to an epic win over Sinner.
Alcaraz has already won two titles this year, including his maiden Australian Open crown, which saw him become the youngest player to complete the career Grand Slam.
He holds a 22-3 record for the season.
