Wolves 1-1 Brentford: Frank's side miss out on Europe after draw
Brentford's hopes of securing European football next season ended following a 1-1 draw with Wolves on the final day.
The spoils were shared at Molineux after Marshall Munetsi's thumping strike cancelled out Bryan Mbeumo's first-half effort.
Thomas Frank's side needed to win to stand any chance of snatching eighth place away from Brighton, who beat Europa League winners Tottenham 4-1.
The visitors punished a defensive error to take the lead after 20 minutes, with Christian Norgaard setting up Mbeumo for his 20th Premier League goal of the season.
However, Wolves secured a point with a quarter of an hour remaining, as Jorgen Strand Larsen cushioned a long ball into the path of Munetsi, who rifled a volley into the top corner to end his side's run of three straight defeats.
Brentford slipped to 10th place after Bournemouth leapfrogged them with their win over Leicester City, while Vitor Pereira's side dropped a couple of places to finish the season in 16th.

Data Debrief: Mbeumo breaks new ground and matches Toney
Taking his tally for the season to 20 goals, Mbeumo is the first Cameroonian to do so in the Premier League, and the second Brentford player after Ivan Toney two years ago.
It marks the second Premier League season in which two African players have reached that figure (also Liverpool's Mohamed Salah), after the 2018-19 campaign (Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang).
Wolves had to wait until the 75th minute for their equaliser, despite the efforts of Matheus Cunha. His eight shots were the joint-most by any player in this season's Premier League without finding the net.
However, the hosts have now won just one of their 11 final-day Premier League fixtures. With a rate of 9%, among sides to have played in at least three seasons, they are one of only four with a rate of below 10% - along with West Brom, Sunderland and Hull City.
