T20 World Cup: Brook says England 'haven't quite hit our strengths' in India
Harry Brook conceded England "haven't quite hit our strengths so far" at the T20 World Cup, despite their five-wicket victory over Scotland.
Following their defeat to West Indies last time out, England got back to winning ways after chasing down their target of 153 in Kolkata.
Tom Banton top-scored with an unbeaten 63, as Brook's side got over the line with 10 balls to spare to boost their hopes of advancing to the Super 8.
Brook heaped praise on Banton's performance, but the skipper believes there is still more to come from his team-mates.
"Glad we got over the line," he said. "We were over the moon with our bowling. Scotland were getting ahead of us at one point, but we managed to get back.
"Tom Banton was awesome. He has slid in nicely in that number four role. He deserves all of that, and he has played really nicely.
"I always had confidence. We knew it was a decent wicket and outfield. We didn't have to take too many risks. Banton played beautifully well there, and Sam Curran's cameo was also awesome.

"We haven't quite had that perfect game yet. Hopefully, we can have an easier game against Italy and play our best cricket and, hopefully, we can put some smiles on faces back home.
"We haven't quite hit our strengths so far. But we don't want to get it too early either. Hopefully, against Italy, it can be the start of our rise."
Player of the match Banton hit four boundaries and three maximums on the way to recording his fourth half-century in T20Is.
"It's T20 cricket, it's a high-risk game, and you've got to keep backing yourself," Banton said.
"Sometimes, it goes against you and it's hard. You've got to keep coming back, trying hard, practising. Luckily, today was my day. I just want to win games for England."
