The Denver Nuggets and fourth-year guard Christian Braun have agreed to terms on a five-year, $125million contract extension through the 2030-31 season.

Selected with the 21st overall pick by Denver in the 2022 NBA Draft, Braun only started 10 times in 158 games over his first two seasons before making 77 starts in 79 contests in 2024-25.

He averaged 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists last season while finishing eighth in the NBA with a 58.0 field goal percentage.

Braun improved his scoring average from 2023-24 by 8.1 points, the third-highest increase in the league behind fellow guards Coby White (plus-9.4) of the Chicago Bulls and Dyson Daniels (plus-8.3) of the Atlanta Hawks.

Denver finished 50-32 last season to earn the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference before being eliminated in Game 7 of the semi-finals by the eventual NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

Braun averaged 12.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists while starting all 14 of the Nuggets’ play-off games.

Denver opens the 2025-26 campaign on Thursday with a visit to the Golden State Warriors.
