Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points as Greece beat Lithuania 87-76 to reach the EuroBasket semi-finals for the first time since 2009.

Greece, who won the tournament in 1987 and 2005, will meet Turkiye for a place in the final after leading their last-four contest from the front at Arena Riga.

Milwaukee Bucks star Antetokounmpo went 9-of-15 shooting and was 11-of-16 from the free-throw line, also tallying six rebounds, two assists and four steals.

Antetokounmpo's younger brother Kostas blocked four shots in the first half, while Vasileios Toliopoulos added 17 points for Greece.

Greece built an 11-point advantage in the second quarter and were 16 ahead in the fourth quarter, only for Lithuania to cut the deficit back to 11 by the buzzer.

In Tuesday's earlier game, Turkiye reached the semi-finals for only the second time, after 2001, with a 91-77 win over Poland.

Houston Rockets forward Alperen Sengun had a triple-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while Sipahi was one of six other Turkiye players in double figures with 11 points.

"We can go all the way," Sipahi said afterwards, having also helped Turkiye overcome Latvia, Czechia, Portugal, Estonia, Serbia and Sweden in their unbeaten campaign.

Furkan Korkmaz, who had 10 points, said: "We were calling this golden generation, saying, 'it's coming, it's coming, we have time.' But now, it's our time.

"Every day that we step on the court we are showing it. We are not just winning the games; we're also enjoying the way that we play basketball."
