Bournemouth missed the chance to apply pressure on the Premier League's top six, following a 0-0 draw with struggling Burnley.

Both sides struck the woodwork, but were generally lacking a cutting edge as they had to settle for a point apiece at Turf Moor.

The Cherries went close to breaking the deadlock inside the opening two minutes, with Evanilson rounding Martin Dubravka before he was denied on the line by Bashir Humphreys.

Burnley carried the greater attacking threat across the remainder of the first half, as Zian Flemming's snapshot and a curling Jaidon Anthony attempt both called Djordje Petrovic into action.

Humphreys was then blocked from close range, while Anthony then fired a volley against the crossbar from a deep corner just before half-time.

Bournemouth also struck the woodwork early in the second half, with Marcus Tavernier's fierce low strike shaving the outside of the post.

The Cherries had a couple of chances to snatch all three points in stoppage time. Enes Unal steered wide from Adrien Truffert's low cross, before David Brooks' glancing header sent narrowly past the wrong side of the far post.

Data Debrief: Cherries' unbeaten streak into double figures

Neither side could find the decisive breakthrough despite a combined 37 shots, the second-most in a goalless Premier League game this season after Nottingham Forest's stalemate with Wolves last month (42).

Bournemouth registered 22 of those, their most in a Premier League game without scoring. Iraola's side have also drawn more matches 0-0 than any other team this term (five).

On a brighter note, the Cherries have gone 10 Premier League matches without losing (W4 D6) for only the second time, also achieving the feat courtesy of an 11-game streak between November and January last season.

Meanwhile, this was only the second time in Burnley's last 87 top-flight matches that they had drawn 0-0, also doing so against Everton in December.
