Jaidon Anthony praised Burnley's "great team spirit and good camaraderie", but acknowledged "every game is vital" following their goalless draw with Bournemouth.

The relegation-threatened Clarets claimed a share of the spoils at Turf Moor, but remain in 19th place and eight points behind Nottingham Forest in 17th with eight games remaining.

Anthony went closest to scoring for the hosts, rattling the crossbar just before half-time, having earlier called Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic into action with a curling effort.

The winger praised the man-management skills of Burnley head coach Scott Parker, who he credited with keeping his and his team-mates' "spirits high", but he knows time is running out in their bid for survival.

"Disappointing in the end not to get the win," Anthony told PLP. "We created a lot of chances and I had a few, too. It's a positive performance, but we know we need points. We just have to keep going and dust ourselves down.

"We know there are not a lot of games left, and every game is vital. We can take positives, and hopefully, we can go into the next game with a lot more confidence.

"We have a great team spirit and good camaraderie. If you saw us every day, you wouldn't know. We try to keep our spirits high. One of [Parker's] best characteristics is man-management. They keep our spirits high, and we train really hard."

Bournemouth, meanwhile, missed the chance to apply pressure on the top six, as they drew for the fourth game in succession.

The Cherries have recorded five goalless draws this season, more than any other Premier League side, while their tally of 22 shots was their most in a top-flight game without finding the net.

"Of course, we did enough," said head coach Andoni Iraola. "If you check the stats, we had lots of shots.

"You need to score and you cannot miss these chances. We are not conceding goals, but we are not scoring. It is frustrating. We miss chances.

"The second half was much better from our side. The first 20 minutes were very good. We had clear chances, but we haven't scored. It is a little frustrating."
