Abhishek Sharma's brilliant 75 and Kuldeep Yadav's impressive bowling spell guided India to a 41-run victory over Bangladesh, booking their place in the Asia Cup final.

Kuldeep spun his way to figures of 3-18 as Bangladesh were bowled all out for 127 with three balls to spare, chasing a target of 169 to win in Dubai on Wednesday.

Abhishek, who was dropped on just seven by wicket-keeper Jaker Ali, did the early damage when smashing six fours and clearing the ropes five times in an entertaining 37-ball knock that was ended by a run out.

Shubman Gill provided support alongside his fellow opener with 29 before Hardik Pandya chipped in with 38 off 29 deliveries to close an innings that India may have felt brought an under-par score.

Saif Hassan responded well to start the Bangladesh chase, though his impressive 51-ball 69 was ended by Jasprit Bumrah, who also claimed Tanzid Hasan for just one in the second over.

Kuldeep then accounted for Parvez Hossain Emon, who posted 21 and was the only batter alongside Hassan to pass double figures as Varun Chakravarthy also helped with 2-29 to ease India to victory.

Bangladesh's defeat means defending champions Sri Lanka are out, while Ali's side prepare for a knockout clash against Pakistan to decide who will face India in the showpiece.

Data Debrief: Abhishek's six-hitting expertise

Abhishek has hit 58 sixes in just 21 T20I innings, already leaving him seventh on India's list for the most maximums in this format of the men's game.

Since his T20I debut in July 2024, only Austria's Karanbir Singh (99) and UAE's Muhammad Waseem (60) have hit more sixes than Abhishek, while no player for a full-member side has more.

India will certainly be hoping for more of the same from their star opener in the final, after his scintillating innings ended at a strike rate of 202.7.
