T20 World Cup: 'Complete cricket' sees West Indies book first berth in Super 8s
West Indies captain Shai Hope said his team had played a "complete" game after they became the first team to seal a Super-8 spot at the T20 World Cup.
Hope plundered an unbeaten 61 off 44 deliveries as the Windies defeated Nepal by nine wickets with 28 balls remaining on Sunday, confirming qualification from Group C.
Nepal could only manage 133-8, with Dipendra Singh Airee (58) and Sompal Kami (26*) their only batters to score over 11 runs, before West Indies chased that total with ease, with Brandon King (22) and Shimron Heymyer (46*) the only other batters to see the crease.
They still have one more match to play in the group stage, against Italy on Thursday, before they take their place in Group 1 for the next phase.
Reflecting on West Indies' third win in as many matches at the tournament, Hope said: "It's very pleasing.
"This is what we set out to do when we got here; that's one hurdle crossed, and now it's onto the next stage.
"We want to continue the brand of cricket we've been playing. We'll focus on the little details we tend to neglect and ensure we are hitting our straps.
"We've been playing really good cricket over the last few games and series; we just need to bring it all together and carry it through to the back end of the tournament."

Hope also heaped praise upon the Windies' bowlers, with Matthew Forde earning plaudits after restricting Nepal to just 10 runs throughout his four overs with the ball.
"You must give him credit," Hope said. "He's been hitting his areas and making it very difficult for batters at the top. He isn't express pace, but he moves the ball just enough.
"He exploits as much movement as he possibly can, which is exactly what you need in this phase.
"It's great to see the bowlers firing along with the batters; it was complete cricket for us today."
