Maro Itoje is set to make his 100th appearance for England when they take on Ireland in the Six Nations on Sunday.

He will continue to captain England after returning to the starting lineup in their defeat to Scotland, while Steve Borthwick has also handed a first Test start to Henry Pollock.

Itoje has won 65% of his first 99 games for his country, 95 of which have come as starts.

Across those matches, he has won 115 turnovers, 375 lineouts and 90% of his tackles (1,139), while also recording 576 carries.

This Saturday's fixture will be his 14th against Ireland, the nation he has faced most often in his international career.

Itoje has also been a key performer under Borthwick, who was appointed as England head coach in 2023.

Since Borthwick's arrival, Itoje has led England in minutes played (2,795), successful tackles (426), dominant tackles (34), turnovers won (37) and ruck arrivals (1,247 – 515 more than any other team-mate).

The 31-year-old will become the ninth player to reach 100 caps for England, with Ben Youngs (127) holding the record for most appearances.

Ollie Lawrence is back among the starters after missing out on selection for England's loss at Murrayfield, while Henry Arundell retains his place after avoiding a ban for his red card against Scotland.
