Jannik Sinner was at his clinical best on Saturday as he thrashed Alexander Zverev in straight sets to reach the Paris Masters final.

Despite Zverev being ranked just one place lower than world number two Sinner, the Italian won 6-0 6-1 in just over an hour in the French capital.

Sinner lost just four points on serve in the first set while converting three of his five break point opportunities on his way to securing the lead.

Zverev, who was perhaps still recovering from a lengthy battle against Daniil Medvedev the night before, could not recover in the second.

He managed to win his first service game, but Sinner proved too powerful as he won six consecutive games, clinching victory with his first match point.

The Paris showpiece will be a repeat of the US Open semi-final after Felix Auger-Aliassime defeated Alexander Bublik 7-6 (7-3) 6-4.

This semi-final was more evenly contested, with both players holding serve in the first set before the Canadian managed to edge the tiebreak.

However, it was a much different story in the second, which saw Auger-Aliassime convert three break points to Bublik's two, moving the Canadian closer to a spot in the ATP Finals.

Data Debrief: Sinner continues French love affair in 2025

Sinner (24 years, 72 days) is now the youngest player to reach the final at both the Paris Masters and French Open in a season since Rafael Nadal (21y 147d) in 2007.

He is also the first Italian to reach the showpiece in the event since its inauguration in 1986.

Auger-Aliassime, meanwhile, is the fifth player born since 2000 to reach multiple ATP Masters 1000 finals after Carlos Alcaraz, Sinner, Holger Rune and Jack Draper.
