Emma Raducanu has reunited with coach Andrew Richardson on a permanent basis ahead of the French Open.

Richardson worked alongside Raducanu when she won the US Open in 2021 as an 18-year-old qualifier, and did so without dropping a set.

Raducanu has been without a permanent coach since parting ways with Francis Roig after the Australian Open, though she has struggled for time on court since.

Following her defeat to Sorana Cirstea in the Transylvania Open final, Raducanu has played just four matches, finishing three of them, after struggling with a post-viral illness.

The British number one last appeared on court on March 8, when she lost in straight sets to Amanda Anisimova at Indian Wells.

After withdrawing from the Italian Open last week, Raducanu received a wildcard entry for Strasbourg, the last clay-court event before the French Open.

"[I'm] grateful to have reconnected with someone who has known me for over a decade now and looking forward to building together one iteration at a time," Raducanu told BBC Sport.

Raducanu, who was criticised for splitting with Richardson after her grand slam win, is set to continue working alongside the coach at Wimbledon and beyond.
