Jalen Duren had 33 points and 10 rebounds, Cade Cunningham added 21 points with 18 assists and the Detroit Pistons pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-110 in Mexico City on Saturday night.

Duncan Robinson added 18 points and Ausar Thompson had 15 for the Pistons, who won their second game in a row.

D’Angelo Russell came off the bench to score 31 points, while first overall pick Cooper Flagg scored a season-high 16 points on 3-for-14 shooting for the Mavericks.

The Mavericks led 93-87 after three quarters but were outscored 35-17 in the fourth.

Dallas played without forward Anthony Davis, who is expected to miss two games with left leg injury sustained on Wednesday against Indiana.

It was the 15th regular-season game played in Mexico City, and it was the fourth for the Mavericks, more than any other franchise. The Phoenix Suns and the Orlando Magic have played in Mexico City three times each.

Durant powers Rockets past Celtics

Kevin Durant scored 26 points in three quarters before resting the fourth, Amen Thompson added 17 points and nine rebounds, and the Houston Rockets beat the Boston Celtics 128-101.

Alperen Sengun had 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for the Rockets, who won their third straight following an 0-2 start to the season and ended Boston’s three-game win streak.

Baylor Scheierman led the Celtics with 17 points. Payton Pritchard had 14 points, Josh Minott finished with 10 points and six rebounds and Jaylen Brown scored 12 for Boston, sitting out the fourth one night after leading the Celtics with 32 points in a 109-108 win at Philadelphia on Friday night.

The Celtics were out of sync throughout the night and could not keep up with Durant and the well-rested Rockets, who shot 57 percent in the first half and led 66-48 at halftime. The Rockets outrebounded the Celtics 53-36.

Jackson sparks rally as Pacers get first win

Quenton Jackson scored 12 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and the Indiana Pacers snapped a season-opening five-game losing streak with a 114-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Aaron Nesmith scored 31 points and Pascal Siakam added 27 for the Pacers.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 24 points. Jimmy Butler scored 20 and Jonathan Kuminga 17 for Golden State.

After Indiana trailed by as many as 11 points in the fourth quarter, Jackson's 3-pointer with 1:09 left gave the Pacers a 109-107 lead. Butler dunked to tie the score at 109-all, but he failed to convert a three-point play.

Siakam hit a 3 that put the Pacers ahead 112-109 with 37 seconds left. After a Kuminga miss, Jackson sank a pull-up jumper with 5.2 seconds left that extended the lead to 114-109.

Indiana victory leaves only Brooklyn and New Orleans as winless teams.
