India needed just over an hour to confirm their series sweep against West Indies after clinching a seven-wicket triumph at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

India began the day needing just 58 runs for the victory, and despite losing both Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, they were able to comfortably get over the line.

The triumph also marked Gill's first Test series win as India's captain, having drawn 2-2 with England during their enthralling clash over the summer.

Sudharsan was dismissed in the 29th over by Roston Chase (2-36), but India's innings was anchored by KL Rahul, who ended up unbeaten on 58 from 108 deliveries.

Chase was at it again to claim the wicket of Gill (13) after the Indian batsman launched a delivery high into the sky which was well taken by Justin Greaves.

Dhruv Jurel joined Rahul at the crease and contributed six runs from six balls, but it was fittingly the latter who sealed the win as he plundered a four off Jomel Warrican's bowling.

Data Debrief: India continue Windies dominance

India have now won 10 consecutive Test series against West Indies, starting in 2002. They have now levelled the record for the most consecutive series wins against an opponent, alongside South Africa, who have the same record against the Windies, starting in 1998.

This was also India's 27th Test in a row without defeat against West Indies, the most for them against a single opposition. The last time they lost to them in the format was in 2002.

India also continued their unbeaten Test streak in Delhi. The last time they lost a match in the format in the city was against West Indies in 1987. Since 1993, the Men in Blue have played 14 Tests in Delhi and managed 12 wins and two draws.

It was also their 122nd Test win at home. India are now third for the most home wins in the format, with only England (241) and Australia (262) managing more.
