Taniela Tupou may receive a pizza as a gift from Japan head coach Eddie Jones, after he helped himself to two tries in Australia's dominant 56-17 win in Townsville.

Having edged out Japan 35-32 in their first game under new head coach Les Kiss last week, the Wallabies romped to a far more comfortable victory in Saturday's rematch.

Seven different players, including each of the front-rowers, went over for the hosts.

It was just the second time every starting front-rower had scored for Australia in a single Test, after Ewen McKenzie, Phil Kearns and Tony Daly did so against the United States 36 years ago.

But two tries from Racing 92 prop Tupou made him the standout player, leading his former international coach Jones to suggest he was worthy of a reward. 

"He must have thought there was a free pizza every time he scored a try today," Jones quipped afterwards.

"I'll have to go and see him after the game. I might take him a pizza in. They get pretty excited near the line."

Japan's three tries all came in the opening 33 minutes, before Australia added 42 unanswered points to run away with the victory.

And Jones feels Japan did well to live with their hosts in the first half, only for Australia's superior quality to eventually shine through. 

"We showed we can do it for 40 minutes. You know, we've played two good halves of rugby against Australia over two Tests, we've got blown away in the second half," he said.

"It was a great experience today, albeit quite a difficult experience. But sometimes the most difficult experiences are the best experiences.

"We've got boys today that are amateur players. They've got to go back to university next week, probably on Monday.

"They train with 150 players, one coach, one physio. That wouldn't happen anywhere else in the world. So, when you put all of that together and the experience they've picked up, it's a great learning experience for them."

The Wallabies' next two Tests are both away in Argentina, while Japan are next in action against the United States on September 12.
