'Gutted' Wilson urges Australia to regroup after defeat to New Zealand
Harry Wilson said Australia's first-half collapse against New Zealand was "not good enough" and called for his players to come together after another disappointing display.
New Zealand extended their winning streak over their rivals to 13 matches after Saturday's 43-21 triumph, with the All Blacks scoring six tries in a dominant first period.
The Bledisloe Cup had already been captured for a 24th time after last week's 50-19 win in Auckland, with New Zealand's explosive start proving decisive at Accor Stadium.
Despite losing Jordie Barrett to a calf injury before kick-off and another centre in Quinn Tupaea early on with a concussion, New Zealand raced into a comfortable 26-minute lead.
Josh Moorby, Beauden Barrett, Peter Lakai and replacement back Rieko Ioane all went over to put the visitors 22-0 ahead, but Jeremy Williams scored a try in response.
However, Williams was sin-binned at the other end of the field two minutes later, with the All Blacks making their man advantage count through Wallace Sititi and Beauden Barrett.
Tom Wright got Australia going after the restart before Filipo Daugunu went over, and despite losing debutant Chay Fihaki to a yellow card, New Zealand held on for the win.
"I'm gutted," said Wallabies captain Wilson. "When you give a team like the All Blacks a head start, it's tough, and it's not good enough for this group.
"We've got to be a lot better. It's been a very disappointing series, and we're going to have to regroup."
Disappointed with the result. Always a tough contest, @AllBlacks https://t.co/cpxrjhWt7W

The last time Australia beat New Zealand was at Brisbane in 2020, when current All Blacks coach Dave Rennie was in charge of the Wallabies.
For New Zealand, however, they have now scored 40+ Tests in consecutive Tests against Australia, after scoring 50 points against the Wallabies last week.
"I'm really proud of the boys, the way we came out on that in that first half," said New Zealand captain Codie Taylor.
"It was a real challenge for us this week to make sure that we backed up a really good performance from last week, and I thought we were awesome in that first 40."
