Hansen scores first-half hat-trick as Ireland thrash Australia in Dublin
Ireland crushed Australia by a 46-19 scoreline at Aviva Stadium on Saturday as Mack Hansen scored a first-half hat-trick.
The Wallabies, who were chasing a first victory in Dublin since 2013, entered the game off the back of defeats to England and Italy, and things did not improve for Joe Schmidt's team.
Stuart McCloskey and Sam Prendergast were heavily involved as Hansen finished off a couple of slick attacks under the posts, and the Connacht wing got his treble after just 28 minutes when he exploited a gap in the Australian line.
Caelan Doris, Ryan Baird and Robbie Henshaw also scored tries for Ireland, while Len Ikitau, Fraser McReight and Billy Pollard went over for the Wallabies, who round off their 2025 calendar with a daunting trip to Paris to face France next Saturday.
Ireland, meanwhile, will host world champions South Africa as they look to end their Autumn internationals with three wins from four Tests.

The Springboks were 32-14 victors over Italy in Turin on Saturday, while France beat Fiji 42-21 in Bordeaux.
Wales, meanwhile, ended a 10-game losing streak on home soil and got their first victory under head coach Steve Tandy, sealing a last-gasp 24-23 success against Japan.
Harlequins fly-half Jarrod Evans nailed a penalty with the clock ticking towards its conclusion at the Principality Stadium, as the hosts avoided dropping below Japan in the world rankings.
Wales have fixtures against both of the 2023 World Cup finalists to come in the next two weeks, with New Zealand and South Africa visiting Cardiff.
