Hamilton slams 'b*******' speculation of rift with Ferrari engineer
Lewis Hamilton has shut down rumours of a rift between him and Ferrari engineer Riccardo Adami after a tough weekend in Monaco and a difficult season so far.
Hamilton finished fifth in Monaco and is yet to get a podium finish since moving to the team following the conclusion of the 2024 season.
After finishing the race last weekend, during the cool-down lap, the seven-time Formula One world champion thanked the team for repairing his car after crashing in final practice before asking if anyone was upset with him, but received no reply.
The incident came after Hamilton had been given a three-place grid penalty for impeding Max Verstappen as a result of wrong information from engineer Adami.
"It was literally just, there were areas that we just had radio problems through the race," he said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"I didn't get all the information that I wanted, and that was it."
With plenty of speculation over the pair's radio exchanges at the season opener in Australia, Hamilton said he believed things had been "over-egged" and that there were no problems between the two.

"There's a lot of speculation. I mean most of it's b******t. Ultimately, we have a great relationship," he said.
"He's been amazing to work with. He's a great guy. We're working so hard. We both are and we don't always get it right every weekend.
"We have disagreements, like everyone does in relationships, but we work through them. We are both in it together, both want to win a championship together and towards lifting the team up.
"So it's just all noise, and we don't really pay any attention to it. It can continue if you want, but it doesn't make any difference to the job that we're trying to do."
Following a difficult start to the season, Hamilton trails championship leader Oscar Piastri by 98 points with eight races gone. Despite the gap, he is not giving up hope of winning the title.
"I think we are working on next year's car, whether or not we are 100 per cent, I can't comment on," he said.
"Next year is the championship that's currently open. This one will be a lot harder to win but it's not closed and it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend."
