Oliver Bearman revealed his dream is to represent Ferrari in Formula One, but insisted he would not waste his "best years" waiting for the call-up. 

Bearman currently drives for Haas and has picked up 18 points in the first half of the 2026 campaign after scoring 41 in his first full year in the competition last year. 

The 21-year-old's best finish this season came at the Chinese Grand Prix, where he came fifth, while also picking up points in Australia (seventh) and Canada (10th). 

However, his plans to join Ferrari may be delayed after both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have started strongly for the Scuderia, who sit second in the Constructors' Championship after 11 races of the season. 

Seven-time world champion Hamilton is second in the Drivers' Championship, 50 points behind Kimi Antonelli heading into the summer break, while Leclerc sits fourth. 

Ferrari are second to Mercedes in the team standings, and Bearman, who made his debut in F1 for the Scuderia at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2024, conceded his desire to become a world champion may have to be fulfilled with another team. 

"For me, Ferrari is the dream team, not only because I'm part of Ferrari, but just because it's the most iconic brand, probably, in the world," Bearman said on the Beyond the Grid podcast.

"So, my goal remains to be a Ferrari driver one day. That, at the moment, is the case and then we need to see how things develop.

"Of course, I don't want to be sitting around for three, four, five years waiting for a seat to become available because there's no guarantees, and then you can be wasting your best years.

"My ultimate goal is maybe a bit selfish, and that's okay because that's the reason I'm here, and that's because I want to be fighting for World Championships, so if I can have that opportunity wherever, I will take it.

"If that means it's not with Ferrari because they can't offer me that position, then that's life. That's not up to me.

"Of course, I want to be fighting for wins, for championships, and whatever team I believe that's possible with, I'm happy to take the step with them."
