Gray and Cherry named in experienced Scotland squad for Six Nations
Scotland have called on experience for this year's Six Nations, with Jonny Gray and Dave Cherry returning to Gregor Townsend's 40-man squad.
They will be led by Glasgow centre Sione Tuipulotu, with 23 forwards and 17 backs named in the squad for their campaign, which begins on February 7 against Italy.
Neither Gray nor Cherry has featured for Scotland since the last Six Nations, with the squad also including experienced figures, such as Ewan Ashman, George Turner, Pierre Schoeman, Grant Gilchrist, Jamie Ritchie, Matt Fagerson and Jack Dempsey.
Townsend has opted against introducing new players, though the young Edinburgh duo of Liam McConnell and Freddy Douglas do get a place.
Finn Russell, meanwhile, leads the fly-halves as he embarks on his 12th Six Nations campaign, with Adam Hastings and Fergus Burke providing his competition.
Glasgow hooker Gregor Hiddleston is not included in the squad, however, with Cam Henderson another notable absentee.
After their opener in Rome, Scotland host England before travelling to Wales, before welcoming defending champions France to Edinburgh and finishing against Ireland.
